Phil Presswood Specialist Cars is delighted to present this absolutely 'OUTSTANDING" 1960 LAND ROVER Series ll 88in Light 4 x 4 Utility Vehicle which is finished in the Classic Bronze Green with the authentic Sand Canvas Hood and Elephant Hide ' Seat covers which are new and supplied by the respected Land Rover Specialist trim makers, Exmoor Trim. This 4x4 has been the subject of a Ground Up restoration to the highest professional standards which has included just about every nut and bolt on the vehicle. The chassis is a new Richards Galvanised authentic part which has been prepared and painted in gloss black as it would have been from the factory. All accompanying parts attached to the chassis are either new or refreshed to an extremely high standard to be perfectly acceptable. The bodywork has been repaired as required using all panels of the correct type with the Strengthening Pressings as from the factory. The fit and finish of every panel is probably better than new and all Gap lines are excellent. The attention to detail in the work can clearly be seen by the way that wherever screws or bolts are exposed the slotted heads are in line. The instruments are all original and have been checked and re-calibrated to work perfectly. The engine has been completely re-built by a local Independent Land Rover Specialist and has the typical silent tick over that is associated with a perfectly set up 2,286cc petrol engine. The Gearbox has been similarly re-built and again performs perfectly. The preparation and final painting of the body has again been carried out by one of the areas leading Paint and Body re-finishing companies to an absolutely superb level. The Hood which is the correct colour of Sand Canvas is brand new and supplied by the Somerset based company, Exmoor Trim. Final assembly of the vehicle has been done with almost Clinical precision with the final result of a near perfect 58 year old model. A British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate has been issued to this multi Award Winning model certifying all details of the vehicle are as correct as the Original factory record. The Land Rover is the Best 4 x 4 By Far' , and this one may well be the Best available at a realistic market value.
